Who are We?
For the longest period of time this school has been known as Brazilian Jiu-jitsu of Wichita Kansas. It is only recently that the decision was made to change the name from Brazilian Jiu-jitsu of Wichita to Castillo Jiu-jitsu.
This school has been the longest standing Jiu-jitsu school in Wichita, and been around and teaching BJJ since we all started hearing about it years ago.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is an extremely effective martial art perfected in Brazil. The practitioners of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and many others, believe that the outcome of most fights will be decided on the ground. It favors taking opponents down to the ground, then using dominating positions, holds, joint locks and chokes to control and or subdue an opponent.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, traditionally Gracie Jiu-jitsu, makes tremendous use of leverage, resulting in techniques that can be performed by a smaller person against a larger person, regardless of strength or size. That is the way that Master Hellio wanted the system to work.
The Brazilian Jiu-jitsu class teaches takedowns, throws, strikes, self-defense and ground grappling with a Gi (uniform).
The No-GI or MMA class teaches techniques that are particular to a MMA curriculum.
Castillo Jiu-jitsu also offers a Personal Protection Class that covers everything from self-defense to knife fighting, and fire arms training to counter-surveillance and more.
Our students consist of Civilians, Law Enforcement and even Military personnel. We can provide Self-defense training,, Vale Tudo training and Sport Jiu-jitsu training.

Morning Classes - 9:40 am to 11:00 am
Kids Classes - 5:45 pm to 6:30 pm
Beginners Adults Class - 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
TUESDAY:
Personal Protection Class - 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm
MMA Class - 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
THURSDAY:
Personal Protection Class - 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm
MMA Class - 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
SUNDAY:
Personal Protection - 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm
